Journey to National Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA) |

The students of our school embarked a journey to National Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA), in Orlando, USA from November 3, 2012 to November 13, 2012.
Twenty three students and five teachers went on the NASA visit.
It was a wonderful experience for the students where the students experienced in designing a
rocket, constructing space programmes and building robots. The robots designed by students
will be tested by NASA scientists. Students also got an opportunity to have lunch with the
Brazilian astronaut Marcas Pontes and learnt about his life and adventures.

For students the highlight was the Astronaut Hall of Fame, where they were strapped in and
taken on a virtual experience of the sights, sounds and sensations of a space shuttle launch.
Interweaved with the heavy scientific sessions students enjoyed trip to Disney Land ,Universal
Studios, Sea World and New York City, it was a wonderful journey that created ripples in the
minds of the students. |
